Vegetarian Substitutions

Chicken Tikka Masala Blend

  • 8 – 10 oz of baby bella mushrooms and 1 cup peas
  • 8 oz extra firm Tofu or Paneer* (Indian cottage cheese) cut into 1″ cubes, lightly pan fried and 1 cup peas
  • 8 – 10 hard boiled eggs – lightly pan fried on all sides.

Madras Fish/Shrimp Blend

  • 14 oz extra firm Tofu cut into 1″ cubes and lightly pan fried

Lamb/Beef Tagine Blend

  • 4 cups of vegetable medley, cut into 1″ cubes (some combinations that work well together are: root vegetables, cauliflower, eggplant and zucchini)

Biryani Blend

  • Hand full of green beans, 1 medium potato, 1 bell pepper, 1 medium carrot, 1/4 cup peas

Cream Substitutes

  • Coconut milk or cream of equal amount.
